Nicola Carboni, MA
Nicola Carboni is Research Fellow and Semantic Architect, Swiss Art Research Infrastructure (SARI) at the University of Zurich.
He received his Bachelor degree in Cultural Heritage Studies from the University of Pisa (2010). While working on his M.Sc. in Digital Library Learning from the joint consortium of Tallinn University, Oslo Metropolitan University and University of Parma, he was awarded a Digital Humanities Fellowship at Villa I Tatti – Harvard University, an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship. As Marie Curie PhD fellow at the CNRS, he investigates the intersection between visual items and knowledge representation. His research centres on the conceptualisation and semantic description of visual content from the tangible/intangible domain. Further interests are the multi-interpretation of the spectrum of visual representations, performative action semantic analysis, linked data and data architecture.
